1st Street Pocha offers a compact but lively slice of Korean dining and pub culture right in the heart of Beaverton. Tucked into a small storefront on SW 1st Street, this spot draws locals craving authentic Korean flavors that go beyond the usual spicy kimchi-heavy fare. The restaurant’s intimate size means it tends to fill up quickly, especially during dinner hours, creating a bustling, almost buzzy atmosphere where quick service balances out the wait times.

The menu is a diverse snapshot of Korean pub cuisine, highlighting a range of approachable comfort foods that pair well with their curated selection of soju and craft beers. Crowd favorites include the Pocha Wings and Korean style hotdogs, which stand out for their well-balanced flavors that even sensitive stomachs can appreciate. The rose tteokbokki, notable for its fresh, chewy rice cakes and a creamy, flavorful sauce adorned with bacon and sausage, often keeps regulars coming back. Corn cheese and Korean fried corndogs add a fun, shareable bar snack vibe, while heartier options like Bossam and seafood pancake bring more traditional tastes to the table.

Visitors can expect an informal, slightly cramped space with a lively, almost rowdy vibe that captures the essence of a Korean pocha (street pub) — great for groups looking to share plates and enjoy drinks. The staff here are known for being approachable and engaging, often taking time to explain dishes, which helps newer diners navigate the menu. For those who appreciate a meal that’s flavorful without being overwhelmingly spicy, this place strikes a good balance.

This spot is especially appealing on weekend nights or late evenings when the energy ramps up and the menu’s bar-style offerings shine alongside an ice-cold beer or flavored soju. Whether you’re stopping in after work or settling in for a casual night out with friends, 1st Street Pocha offers a distinctive Beaverton take on Korean fare with enough variety to keep things interesting without overwhelming the senses.

All delicious. Best wings I have ever had. I have a sensitive stomach and they were a perfect ratio and flavour. The wait was long for dinner, but worth it! It is a very small restaurant so everything comes out quickly. Wonderful costumer service, would go back again.

I don't think words can describe how much i LOVE 1st Street Pocha. (Our friends introduced us to this place!) By far my favorite Korean restaurant I've been to - nothing has yet to compare to the flavors you get here. The Rose Tteokbokki was the star of the show, i literally crave it ALL the time. It's really cramped and loud, but that just really adds to the ambience of hot, greasy, delicious korean street food! Definitely worth a try, whether you're a visitor or a local. 100/10

Cozy place nestled in downtown beaverton. I love the fact that it represents Korean food so well by being not just spicy, red, and all kimchi like many of them are. The variety of flavors and spices is what I enjoyed while I was in Korea. The staff is friendly and takes time to engage and explain the menu.

Best tteokbokki I’ve had, and I’ve tried a lot. I’ve never been able to find tteokbokki made the way I like it (they all tend to taste just like watery gochujang). I tried the truffle fries and the rose tteokbokki, and they were both very flavorful and well-seasoned. The rice cakes in the rose tteokbokki were fresh and chewy, and the bacon and sausage were delicious and a nice touch. The sauce was a good consistency—not too thick or watery. It had a slight smokiness from the meats. I personally love a bunch of green onion in my tteokbokki, so I would have loved more, but they gave a decent amount. The amount given for the price was fair; it was quite filling, even though I always eat a lot. The truffle fries are delicious as well; they have a great texture (crispy outside and fluffy inside) and are seasoned well. They come out VERY hot! I also appreciate that they give small metal dishes along with the food so you can portion it out to share or cool down. The atmosphere is casual and cozy, though it can feel a bit cramped since it is small and often busy. Expect to wait outside for a table to open up. They play K-pop music. I really like that they are open late. I will definitely come back here again. Looking forward to trying the bossam sometime. Never had it before, but it looks yummy. I came back a second time the following day for the rose tteokbokki again, and the waitress remembered me.

Small place but the food is soo good, especially late night. The corn dogs and the corn cheese are table favorites the Korean fried chicken is so good, especially the truffle soy garlic. The spicy sweet chicken could be a little hotter, and the regular soy garlic could have more garlic, but it's a good bite

1st Street Pocha, in my opinion, is a little hole-in-the-wall local spot that serves Korean street food-inspired dishes. I’ve brought numerous friends here, and they all have left with wonderful first impressions of the food. The service is always amazing every time I visit. The servers are friendly and kind. The food is usually consistent and rarely disappointing! My go-to order is the rose tteokbokki with ramen, corn cheese, and 10-piece soy truffle garlic wings. I’ve tried other items on their menu as well, but nothing tops these three for me. While I’ve only tried a handful of places that serve rose tteokbokki, this spot is my favorite. There’s something about the sauce—it’s a little sweet, a little savory, and a little spicy, which brings everything together perfectly! The corn cheese is simple but delicious, and sometimes I mix it with the rose tteokbokki sauce for extra flavor. When I first started going to 1st Street Pocha, they didn’t have truffle soy garlic wings, but when they added them to the menu, it caught my eye. Although the minimum order is 10 pieces, I believe every piece is worth it. The truffle soy garlic wings are packed with warmth, crispiness, and flavor. One thing to note is that they have limited seating inside; they have a handful of tables that can fit 2 or more people and a handful of tables that can fit 4 or more people. I love how they’re open pretty late as it’s pretty hard to find a place that offers good food and opens late around Portland.

You’ve really got to try the Korean Fried Chicken and Corndogs “hotdogs”. This place was the best date night we’ve had in awhile. Our waitress was warm and wonderful. We’ll absolutely be back, the only trouble is we want to try the whole menu but everything we got was TOO good. From best of the best to best: KFC, hotdogs, mandu, seasoned rice balls and spicy noodles.

In a state lacking Korean pubs/bars we should be grateful to have 1st Street Pocha. Solid menu and offerings that are well prepared. If I had to gripe, it is on the pricey side and the interior layout is a bit odd which does take away from the vibe of a Korean bar.
